ÜRITUS was found in 1992. Industrial activity was started in April 1993 on the territory of Oru peat complex.
The main field of activity: manufacturing and selling of polypropylene FIBC containers („Big Bags“) with carrying capacity 50 kg to 1500 kg, intended for storage and transportation of bulk solids (fertilizers, chemicals, grain, mixed fodder, building materials etc).
In the beginning of the activity, in the factory were working 35-40 employees and production capacity was 350 000—500 000 big bags per year. After purchase of its own industrial area in 2002, ÜRITUS invested about 30 mln. kroons into its development.
The production capacity increased up to over 1 mln. big bags per year. The number of employees increased up to 100 persons. The annual turnover in 2005 was over 44 mln. kroons, sales capacity in natural equivalent reached 1 136 250 pcs. Establishment of own fabric production in 2005 increased competitiveness, mobility and effectiveness of company’s activity.
The manufacturing has been certified according to international standards and production is based on legal patents and know-how ( Cronus / Portabulk Systems). ÜRITUS is member of Estonian Chamber of Commerce and Industry since 1995.
